Recently I was poking around some gear review sites and I found an interesting alcohol stove that I’m planning to gear test. It is called the Caldera Cone by Trail Designs and the style is intriguing. Once I get a chance to test one of these I will post my findings. The past 2 weeks have been incredibly busy for me as I reviewed the proofs and created the back index for my wilderness cookbook, A Fork in the Trail. I found creating the index a daunting task but it went very well. According to my editor I did a “magnificent job”.  The book is now off to be printed and I am very excited.
